What happens next
depends on you.
Politics isn't something that happens to us.
It's something we shape.

Getting involved is simple, but powerful.
When we show up, things change.
When we don't, others decide for us.
You decide how it goes
If the wrong people are in power,
our community gets hurt.
If we don’t vote in high numbers,
we lose our seat at the table.
If safety isn’t prioritized,
our shuls and neighborhoods are left vulnerable.

This isn't luck.
It’s on us.
This isn’t “Politics in Washington”. We’re talking about real impact in city halls and state houses — the places where decisions about our schools, security, and funding get made.
When we get involved and show up, we influence what happens, protecting our community today and deciding what comes next.
You're not just the future. You're the now. This is your moment to lead.
You have a stronger voice than you think
You're not a politician. You're not a millionaire donor. You're just a regular person trying to make it work.
And that's exactly why you matter.

Elimelech Gavriel (Mike) Tress:
appointed president of Zeirei Agudath Israel at age 21 – despite opposition from older members.
Rabbi Moshe Sherer:
named Agudath Israel executive vice president at age 20.
Rabbi Ronnie Greenwald:
started askanus in his early 20s, lobbying for Torah Umesorah in 1962 before joining President Nixon's re-election campaign.
Young people who sacrificed everything for one mission: protecting Klal Yisroel. They organized, showed up, and built Yiddishkeit in America. They proved that change doesn't come from the top. It comes from people who care enough to act.
When you get involved, you're not just one voice. You're part of a community that politicians can't ignore. You're carrying forward what our grandparents built. You're deciding what comes next.
This is bigger than any one of us.
But it starts with each of us.

Action changes everything
Protecting our neighborhoods, safeguarding our schools’ values, holding leaders accountable;
It all begins with showing up.
Fighting
Anti-Semitism
Laws and policies protect our community from hate, harassment, and discrimination.
Tuition Relief
Orthodox Jewish families pay school taxes while fully funding private-school tuition. A fair, state-level relief solution can ease the burden on parents and strengthen educational stability.
Community
advocacy
Advocacy keeps our community heard on the critical issues affecting our daily lives.

Community safety
and local support
Working alongside local officials and community leaders strengthens our neighborhoods and supports public well-being.
Yes, showing up works
Political involvement has real impact. Here’s ours:
Anti-Semitism combated
NY launched the nation's first state Anti-Hate Center with ongoing programs to combat antisemitism.
Essential services funded
NY State covers textbooks, transportation, and mandated services, keeping these costs off tuition bills.
School security funding tripled
NY State increased nonpublic school safety funding from $15M to $45M.

The man behind the movement
I’m Shmulie Hartstein, a regular guy who grew up in Brooklyn, NY.
Today, I live in Rockland County, with my wife and children. Like any parent, I’m committed to ensuring a better future for both my family and our community. I’m someone who doesn’t wait for change. When I see a need, I step in and make it happen.
In March 2025, a friend lost a close family member who didn’t have life insurance in place. He left behind a widow and family, facing both the pain of their loss and the need to fend for themselves. It was a wake-up call. I saw how devastating it is for families left with financial burdens at such a tough time. That’s when I launched
B'sefer Chayim to raise awareness about life insurance. Three months later, we had a full campaign running, powered by everyday people sharing their stories and spreading the word.

Seeing that impact inspired me to take action again. While watching the recent New York City mayoral elections, I realized that if we had stepped up sooner, our community could have kept the wrong candidate from even making it to the general election. With a well-run ground game – registering voters and getting out the vote in the primary – we could have changed the outcome. Instead, we found ourselves scrambling in crisis mode when it was clearly too late.
That’s why I founded Kol Yisroel — to give our community a stronger, more proactive voice in local politics. I’ve seen how young, everyday people can create real change. I know that together, we can make a real difference.
